It gives me great joy and satisfaction to write to greet and felicitate the President, Very Reverend Father Anthony I. Kanu, the other members of the executive body, and all the members of the Union of Augustinian Friars of Africa (UAFA) on the first publication of this directory. This is a dream come true! I commend you on this laudable achievement, the expression of our “oneness of mind and heart on the way to God.” It is fundamental to sustain and strengthen our fraternal bond, to examine and identify the possibilities around us, and to collaborate more in the pursuit of common projects in Africa for better service to the people of God, the Church, and the expansion of the Order.
Having this directory on hand is a significant step in the development of an Augustinian African region: to know ourselves better, where we are, and the apostolates we are exercising as services to the Church in our respective circumscriptions. The directory also serves as a vital tool that helps us to look within and without in our navigation in the fields of evangelisation. We are hopeful that the challenges we face today offer us opportunities to grow and develop. Congratulations! May God bless our unity, our evangelising activities, and make us fruitful.
